Vanilla Dome - Week 8

World 3 - Level 3

Week 8! What happened to week 7 you may ask? Well you see Week 7 was terrible. I was bloated and I had a terrible cold. I only lost 1.5lbs and I gained inches. Terrible, terrible terrible. So I skipped last week since I was in a down mood.  (I know there was nothing I could do about it, but it still sucked). So here we are at week 8. Week 8 was alright. I'm still bloated this week, due to being constipated. (sorry TMI). So I went up in inches in my stomach area again. Ugh, whatever. I only lost an inch this week, but due to my gain of inches last week, I'm just going to say I'm still at 41.6 inches total. (It might even be a little bit less than that, but whatever). Good news is week 8 (this week) I'm down 4 lbs. For a grand total of 43lbs! Yay! 

I'm also changing my weigh in days to Saturday Mornings starting the 16th. That way I don't have to eat or drink anything before I go in! Hahahahaha! Sneaky! I will check in next Friday!

Into the Vanilla Dome!

World 3 - Level 1

Another week down. I had my official weigh in for my week 6 today. But let's first have a re-cap of how this week went down....

The beginning of the week started off really rough. I woke up Tuesday with the chills, body aches and a major headache. It was terrible. I didn't want to eat. I barely got in all my food for that day. Then the rest of the week I have had a cold. I can't take cold medicine because it's got sugar in it. My life has been hell. I really want this cold to go away. I have NO energy and it stinks. I also haven't been getting all of my vitamins in every day either. Hopefully this week my cold will get better and go away and I will get back into the swing of things. Thursday & Friday I was in Milwaukee and I didn't bring enough veggies for Thursday so I was a little short. ( but that's ok because I wasn't hungry anyways )

So after this crappy week I was presently surprised to see my numbers this week. I lost 7.5lbs (I think in part due to not getting enough water) and 6.6 inches! Which puts me at 37.5 lbs and into the next world, the Vanilla Dome! YAY! My total inches are at 41.6. Pretty amazing.

2-3 (Week 5)

World 2 - Level 3

Another week down, Yahoo! My pants are officially starting to fall off. What a great feeling!

This week went by super fast and I can't believe it's already Friday. Next week will be super busy too. My next weigh in isn't until next Saturday because my fiance and I will be in Milwaukee Thursday & Friday. I'm pretty excited for out little mini-vacation. I also got a sheet of paper on how to eat out. It tells you what you can get and things you should ask for. So that's cool, I finally feel like a real human-being being able to go out and eat. I haven't yet but at least I know I can. But anyways let's get to the good stuff.

I lost 5 lbs. this week bringing my total weight loss for 5 weeks to 30 lbs. I lost 7.4 inches bringing my total to 35 inches. AMAZING! I can start to see the difference in myself in the mirror. Another 10 lbs and I will be in World 3!!

2-2 (Week 4)

World 2 - Level 2

It's been another successful week! I am really starting to notice the change in how my clothes fit this week, which is very exciting and makes me feel like the weight IS dropping. Other people are starting to notice too, which is awesome and makes me feel great. I know I have a loooooong road to go before I get to my goal weight but I'm well on my way and off to a very good start.

This week was fairly easy compared to the last few weeks. Most of my cravings have sub-sided which is good and I'm finding new and creative ways to cook the food I am allowed to have. I also decided to take my wedding dress to my alterations lady earlier this week to see how many sizes she would be able to take it in. I know I have a ways to go, but I wanted to brace myself in case I was in for a surprise and having to buy a whole new dress. However, she told me that she would be able to take it in 2-3 sizes because the style and cut would be fairly easy to work with. YAY! I don't have to worry about getting another dress. So that is a HUGE relief.

So at my weigh-in toady I lost a whopping 3.25lbs, but that brings my total for only 4 weeks to 25 lbs!!!! Which is amazing if I put it in perspective. I don't think anything will top week 1, so I need to get that 11 lb. drop in one week out of my head. As far as inches go.... I lost a total of 7.7 inches!! And that my friends, brings my total inches to 27.6! Everything is just melting off. So that means I only have to lose 110 more lbs. to get to my goal weight. I can't wait until that number is under 100, and it won't be long either!!

World 2 - Yahoo!

World 2 - Level 1

Well guys I did it!! I made it to World 2 but I think I lost a few lives along the way! (Good thing for 1-ups, hopefully I can find some soon). This week wasn't the easiest and honestly my weigh in wasn't what I expected. But let's walk through what made this week so tough.

I started to get bored with the same ol' things and with it being week 3 I could finally have 3 "restricted IP foods." Once you get past week 2 you are allowed to have a maximum of 3 IP foods per week. This week I tried the Chocolate Pancakes (x2) and the Chocolate Soy Puffs. I made the Chocolate Pancakes into Chocolate muffins actually, and they were delicious but the Chocolate Soy Puffs were by far my favorite. I had a chocolate craving this week.... bad.... all thanks to mother nature. Isn't she wonderful ladies? I bet you can tell why my weigh in and measurements weren't the greatest this week, huh?

 I had more of the cauliflower rice which is delicious. But I didn't make it as often as I would have liked. This week I was really lazy and didn't feel like doing much cooking, so I really got sick of the same old raw veggies every night. I was also on a sauerkraut kick for about a week, and that ended Thursday. So now it's off to find another veggie that's easy and enjoyable (that's on my list of OK veggies).

So I hope this coming week goes better. I took away all my restricted foods since my coach suggested it to see if it helps improve my numbers again. I figured it can't make things any worse.(but sad, no more Chocolate Soy Puffs!) My coach warned me about weeks 3 & 4 and said they are the worst and can really deter people off of the program. So I guess in consideration with what else I had going on and it being Week 3, I should have seen it coming. My numbers had just been so stellar that I was hoping and praying my body wouldn't start to act "normal" like everyone else.

Well for my weigh in results. Drum roll please.......

I lost 4.75lbs. YAY!
But I only lost 1.5 inches this week...because I gained 2 in my stomach area, it threw off my inches for the week. LAME.

But overall I can't complain. I have to keep on trucking on because in just 3 Weeks I am officially down 21.75 lbs and 19.9 inches. 

Let's hope for better results next week!! I CAN do this, there is NO turning back now!

Level 2

World 1 - Level 2

Down one more week! It's been another eventful week. There were no real challenges this week besides a few cravings and I didn't indulge them. Yay for me! This weeks post will be short because I don't have much to talk about but my results. They weren't as great as last week, but it's still progress and a step in the right direction!

This week I'm down 6lbs and 4.4 inches. Bringing my grand total to 17 lbs and 18.4 inches in 2 weeks! I would never be able to do this on my own, well I wouldn't be able to lose it this fast on my own. Ideal Protein has been wonderful, I love the strict rules and list of foods I can eat. It helps immensely!

World 1 Start!

World 1 - Level 1 Start!

Ok, I'm going to explain the Super Mario World Map. Right now the star is on World 1. Once I lose 18ish lbs I will move the star to World 2, etc. There are 7 Worlds total (I will have to get mini maps for the worlds that aren't visible on the main map) All 7 Worlds are worth roughly 18lbs totaling my overall goal of losing 130lbs. I just thought it would be fun to incorporate some of my nerdyness into this blog. Why? Because I can and so you will be able to track my progress just by looking at the maps if you don't want to read my ramblings.

Well guys I made it through week one! It was a very rough start. Going through the withdrawals of all the no-no foods I used to eat was rough. I didn't know if I had the willpower to stay strong and keep up with it, but I did it!! It was really hard a few days with friend and family get togethers with all the food I used to scarf down and overeat on.... I almost failed and ate the no-no foods, but I didn't. One word of advice, your first couple weeks, stay away from gatherings with no-no foods because it can really test the strongest of will powers. To my surprise I have been full after every meal. I thought this diet would be one that I would feel hungry all the time. I'm a big girl and usually when I eat to the point of fullness it's because I ate too much. And I had that ate too much feeling A LOT, so I started spacing more of the vegetables out and not eating them all with my lunch and dinner. Honestly, with feeling that full all the time, I didn't feel like the weight was coming off. I felt like I was still having my old eating habits and that this diet just wasn't going to work. Only one way to find out..... the dreaded weigh in!

I went in for my weigh in yesterday (Friday, January 11, 2012) and I'm not going to lie. I was super nervous. I really couldn't tell if I had lost the weight my scale said I did and my scale is pretty wonky anyways. So my IP coach weighed me in first and wrote down my weight quickly and turned and looked at me with a GIANT smile on her face. She then proceeded to tell me I lost 11 lbs.!! I was so ecstatic I could barely hold it in! Then it was on to the measurements. I didn't think that I would have lost a lot of inches, I figured it was mostly water weight and there is no way that there would be that big of a difference across my body. She wrote each measurement down after strapping the tape measure around me. Then she sat down for about 2 minutes and did the calculations. She covered the piece of paper with all the information I had been dying to see all week with her arm. She again smiled and looked at me and told me that I lost a total of 14 inches! I couldn't believe it. I shed some tears of happiness, that it was actually working. Now I'm not sure what inches were lost where... they measure your neck all the way down to your ankles... but to me it really didn't matter where they came from, I lost them and they weren't coming back, that's all that mattered!

So it's time to start another week. I can make it!! Having week one's results will keep me going!
